Miss Diana Joan Barton and Mr. Quoc Hieu Nguyen were married on April 14, 2018, at Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
They met in the summer of 2013 while vacationing in Cabo from Georgia and California. A romance blossomed that brought their joyful families and friends to Mexico to celebrate a union where their story together began.
The bride is the daughter of Maj. and Mrs. Stephen Barton USA Ret of Dunwoody. She is the granddaughter of Col. and Mrs. Robert Barton, USA Ret of Mount Pleasant, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bergum of Clearfield, Penn.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nguyen of San Jose, CA. He is the grandson of Nguyen Van Tu and Duong Thi Xiem of Bac Lieu, Vietnam and Thanh Ton and Suu Thi Lam of Bac Lieu.
The ceremony was held on the beach at the Gulf of California. The bride was attended by Miss Sarah Ahmad of Dunwoody, as Maid of Honor. Mr. Van Nguyen of Huntington Beach, Calif., brother of the groom, served as Best Man. The picture-perfect reception was beachside and featured spectacular fireworks enjoyed by 130 enchanted guests.
The bride is a graduate of Dunwoody High School and the University of Georgia with BBA and MAcc degrees. Diana works at Alexandria Real Estate Equities as a Senior Accountant in Pasadena, Calif.
The groom is a graduate of Piedmont Hills High School in San Jose, CA and California State University – Long Beach with a BS in Accounting and Business. Quoc works at the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association as a Senior Investment Analyst in Pasadena, Calif.
After honeymooning in London, Diana and Quoc reside in downtown Los Angeles.
