DUNWOODY, Ga. — A man told police May 12 that an unknown person had occupied his apartment while he was out of town for the weekend.

The victim said that when he returned from a weekend trip to Florida, he noticed his back patio door was open slightly. He then found a note on the kitchen counter from someone writing to thank him for use of the dwelling, along with a phone number at the bottom. The victim then checked the residence to ensure nothing had been taken.

Police called the phone number on the note, but it rang with no answer.
