To the Editor:

Your recent article about statewide primaries suggested that some Democratic candidates have not had a presence here in Dunwoody. Yet nothing is further from the truth. There have been two well-attended Democratic candidate events at the Dunwoody Tavern for Congressional, statewide and local candidates, and Dunwoody neighbors have hosted easily more than two dozen meet and greets for House District 79, Senate District 40, and Congressional District 6 Democratic candidates since primary election season began. Dunwoody residents are excited by the very strong candidate options that they have for this year’s election.

In the last Presidential election and the most recent CD 6 special election, the vote in House District 79, which encompasses all of Dunwoody, has been split fairly evenly between Republican and Democratic candidates, with a slight advantage going to the Democrats. I hope that we can expect fair and unbiased election coverage from The Crier moving forward to better serve all of Dunwoody’s citizens.
