Rowing to a medal on dry land

Posted: Tuesday, February 19, 2013 10:40 am

Dunwoody High School freshman Ford Mitchell competed in the rowing competition, Georgia Tech Erg Sprints, this month and finished third in the Junior Novice Men division. Mitchell helped lead the novice mixed relay team to a third place finish in the team competition that included varsity and novice age ranges.  For the second year in a row, fourth time out of five years, the Atlanta Junior Rowing Association, AJRA, won the Junior Team Points Trophy at Georgia Tech Erg Sprints. AJRA had strong performances across all junior events, with medals in all six categories and top finishes in three.
