Do you Kum Boo? Make it so for 2013: it’s a new course in the Spruill Center’s Winter course lineup.

An ancient Korean technique of fusing gold and silver to other metals, Kum Boo is a wonderful means for creating jewelry with the look of gold and silver for much less cost, and is just one of the many one-day and six- and eight-week classes available this quarter at the art center.

Another new class, “Sequential Art and Design,” is open to teenagers ages 13-17 and will teach the history and drawing styles of comic books. Students will create a page of comic book art as their final assignment.

See the full list of course offerings at spruillarts.org.
