Salisbury Plain

Bill Middleton of Dunwoody took The Crier to 54°3′S 37°21′W / 54.05°S 37.35°W — the beach of Salisbury Plain, a small plain lying between the mouths of Grace and Lucas glaciers on the north coast of South Georgia. The island off the Antarctic Peninsula is best known as the breeding site of more than 200,000 king penguins.  The National Geographic Explorer is anchored in the background.
