Phyllis Cohen Rosenthal

Phyllis Cohen Rosenthal, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, in Atlanta.

She was a resident of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody for many years. Phyllis lived life with energy and joy.

She was preceded in death by two wonderful husbands, Leo Cohen and Alfred Rosenthal. She is survived by her brother Mickey Herskowitz of Houston. Phyllis had three loving children, daughters Marcia Hauler (married to Mark Hauler) and Theresa Cohen (married to Michael Gill) of Dunwoody and a son Harvey Cohen (married to Diana Smith Cohen) of LaGrange, Kent. She is also survived by two cherished granddaughters, Lindsay Hauler of Atlanta and Lesley Hauler of New York, N.Y. Her extended family includes numerous cousins and nieces, nephews, and step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many wonderful friends.

She will be remembered for her smile and her love of social events, MJCCA water aerobics, card games of any kind, Jeopardy and travel. She will be missed, but will always have a place in the hearts of everyone who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or any Jewish organization of your choice in her blessed memory.
