Kay Vezina

Mrs. Marilyn “Kay” Vezina (Jordan) went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2018.

She is survived by Gene, her husband of 60 years, as well as daughter Sherri Cochran; son-in-law David Cochran; son Mike Vezina; and daughter-in-law Mary Vezina. She had six grandchildren: Jodi, Grant an Kelli Cochran, and Matthew, Michael and Emily Vezina. They were the joy of her life.

Kay was born in Halls, Tenn., on April 14, 1936, to Frank and Maurine Jordan. She was the oldest of four, having brothers Robert, Gary and Gil Jordan. She had been a resident of Dunwoody for more than 45 years.

She was passionate about her faith, family and friends. Taking trips with family and friends were her ideal vacations. Kay also had a special commitment to mission work with Dunwoody Baptist Church and her beloved Samaritan Sunday School class. She volunteered for years with Meals on Wheels, taught Sunday school for young children, and was a mentor to Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS), all while using her Christian values as her guide.

Kay was a volunter at the 1996 Olympics and in her spare time played tennis and golf, and cheered on the Braves.

Her beautiful smile, loving heart and unconditional love will be dearly missed. While Kay’s travels carried her to many places around the world, this last trip will be the ultimate best.

Services will be Saturday, May 5 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Dunwoody Baptist Church where a reception will follow.
