DUNWOODY, Ga. – A woman reported to authorities June 27 that someone was using her job title and company name to commit fraud. The woman is director of human resources at Alliant Health Solutions headquartered in Dunwoody. Multiple people notified the company they were interviewed for job positions and were sent false applications requiring personal information before being “hired.” The victims were then sent checks and advised to deposit them into their checking account. She stated that the suspect was using her name to request personal identity information.
The woman also informed authorities that these interviews were conducted using Google Chat which is something her company has never done. She also informed police that she does conduct interviews over the phone for open positions but does not send any form of checks in the mail to the applicants. Victims were then advised to file police reports of their own.
