Motorists beware: The bridge over I-285 on Ashford Dunwoody road will close at 9 p.m. this Friday for the weekend while construction and re-striping take place. When the bridge is reopened Monday, June 4 at 5 a.m. (weather permitting), Georgia’s first diverging diamond interchange will be open, with traffic routed on unfamiliar sides of the road to allow free left turns onto I-285 ramps. This weekend, motorists will be expected to detour through the I-285 Perimeter Center Parkway “flyover” bridge. There will be no pedestrian traffic allowed on the bridge during June. All exit and entrance ramps will be open.
