Spring Break typically means a quiet high school, but this year tree cutters showed up and chopped down dozens of pine trees along Vermack Road at Dunwoody High School. Social media lit up with more than 100 comments from citizens who expressed anger, sadness and more. The DeKalb County School System ordered the cutting to make way for more modular classrooms. A few trees closer to the high school building remain and will provide shade for some of the picnic tables students use at lunchtime.Â
