St. Lukes

DUNWOODY, Ga. — Saint Luke’s Presbyterian Church in Dunwoody celebrated its 50th anniversary Sept. 15.

“We’re celebrating 50 years of faith and family,” the Rev. David Lower said. “We’re thrilled to be in the heart of Dunwoody, helping to grow the great big heart of our city.”

Saint Luke’s is a faith community with more than 700 members. The congregation began meeting in 1969 in the original Dunwoody Elementary School, which is now the home of the Spruill Center for the Arts.

At the request of Dunwoody Councilman Terry Nall, Mayor Denis Shortal issued a proclamation declaring Sept. 15, 2019 “Saint Luke’s Presbyterian Church Day” to honor the anniversary.
