Four hundred Dunwoody Girl Scouts and recently spent a weekend at the YMCA Camp High Harbour last month in Clayton, Ga. For more than 25 years, the camp has opened its gates to Dunwoody Girl Scouts, once in August and once in September.

Participating girls range in age from elementary to high school, and this year’s weekends were coordinated by Girl Scout Leaders Allison Addalia, Sarah Duncan, Stacey Geer and Christie McGraw.

“This is the first time many of these girls have been camping and participated in these types of activities,” Girl Scout Weekend Coordinator Sarah Duncan said. “It’s exciting to see a whole new world open to them.”

Pictured is this year’s September group. Kate Marion from Troop 28434 and Kasi Puri from Troop 28427 (front, holding Crier) celebrated their birthdays at camp.
