DUNWOODY, Ga. — Chamblee Charter High School senior Foster Cowan recently earned the Eagle Scout rank as a member of Dunwoody’s All-Saints Boy Scout Troop 434.
His Eagle project consisted of rehabilitating a section of walking trail at the Dunwoody Nature Center. The trail has been split into multiple Eagle projects, with the goal of creating a “Native Plant Hike” for both community enjoyment and teaching opportunities.
Cowan tore out English ivy growth along the trail, laid down wood chips and lined the trail with logs.
Cowan serves as an editor for his school’s newspaper, plays trombone in the marching and jazz bands, and is a member of the Model United Nations team and quiz bowl team. He is also a volunteer with Interact, National Honor Society member and performs altar service at All Saints Catholic Church.
