DWC Sitting

Members of the GFWC Dunwoody Woman’s Club toured several of the Dunwoody parks that have benches donated by club members as part of their “Adopt-A-Bench” project.

The program, in partnership with the City of Dunwoody, enables park contributors and patrons to support Dunwoody Parks through a tax-deductible contribution in the form of a bench adoption. Contributors can have a personalized message on a 3 by 5-inch plaque placed on a park bench in one of the city’s 11 parks or properties.

The tour included future park updates given by Michael Cowan, director of the Nature Center and Brent Walker, director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Dunwoody.

Seated, from left, are: Brent Walker and Maria Barnhart, president of the GFWC Dunwoody Woman’s Club.
