DUNWOODY, Ga. —Cinnaholic, a gourmet cinnamon roll bakery, has opened its second metro Atlanta location in Dunwoody.
The new location, at 5590 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Suite 1, joins 40 existing locations in 15 states and Canada. Cinnaholic gained national attention after the company was featured on ABC’s “Shark Tank.” The fast-growing brand was also recently featured in “Entrepreneur” magazine’s Franchise 500 list.
“There is a tremendous amount of excitement to serve our award-winning cinnamon rolls to the people of Dunwoody,” said Kush Brahmbhatt, owner of the new franchise. “As a vegetarian, I’m excited to bring delicious, vegan cinnamon rolls that will fulfill a need for healthier, sweet treat to my community.”
While the COVID-19 pandemic caused some delays, Brahmbhatt said he was ready to open and engage with residents. He said he has worked with the corporate team at Cinnaholic and the City of Dunwoody for guidance in opening the store. His grand opening in July was a scaled-back affair.
The bakery will follow strict health and safety guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local government agencies. Safety measures include masks for employees, decals on the floor to mark off appropriate social distance, available hand sanitizer and a shield separating employees from customers at the register.
Brahmbhatt comes to the business after a career in software engineering. He learned about customer service and restaurant management from his parents, who owned and operated a fast-casual restaurant.
Brahmbhatt found Cinnaholic through a social media post his friends had shared. After he tasted the cinnamon rolls for himself, he said he was instantly hooked on the concept of providing options for people with different dietary regimens like himself.
“This is definitely something that I want to start myself because this is a need that I have seen my whole life,” Brahmbhatt said.
