A ribbon was cut last week marking the official grand opening of Dunwoody Bakery at 2492 Mt. Vernon Road. Dunwoody Bakery, which recently added an ice cream shoppe to the line-up of cookies, custom cakes and cupcakes, is at the corner of Dunwoody Club Drive and Mt. Vernon Road. Owner Jill Baker-Lesperance left a career in marketing to start her bakery in 2008. Helping out are Jill’s husband, Scott and daughter Audrey. Audrey, who has been baking since she was 3 years old, says she comes to it naturally – her middle name is Baker! Dunwoody Bakery’s offerings are 100 percent organic and gluten-free.
