Stephanie Lampert

The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) is pleased to announce that Stephanie Lampert has been hired as the director of the MJCCA Schiff School, its new preschool to be held at Temple Emanu-El starting in August 2018. 

“Stephanie Lampert is the perfect person to take the helm of our new preschool, the MJCCA Schiff School,” said Jared Powers, MJCCA CEO. “Stephanie is a highly experienced educator and also a longtime member of the MJCCA community.”   

Stephanie has served as a pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher at The Epstein School since August 2007. During her tenure at Epstein, she developed and implemented individualized and integrated Judaic and general studies curricula, integrated new technologies, and was instrumental in coaching and training colleagues. 

“Stephanie is a skilled educator, adept at bringing lessons to life through a balanced curriculum and preparing students for 21st century learning. She is able to manage diverse learners and experienced with modifying, adapting, and enriching curricula to meet the needs of each student individually,” added Powers. “We are fortunate to have someone with her range of expertise and passion for education at the helm of the MJCCA Schiff School.” 

Stephanie began her teaching career at LaBelle Elementary in Smyrna teaching Kindergarten and first grade, and has also taught Sunday School for many years. She earned a B.S. in Communications from the University of Texas and a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University.  

Stephanie will assume her new position at the beginning of June.

The physicians and staff of Northside Vascular Surgery are pleased to welcome Dr. Brooks Whitney to the full-service vascular surgery and endovascular therapy practice. 

Northside Vascular Surgery specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the veins and arteries and has locations in Canton, Cumming and Sandy Springs. Prior to joining Northside Vascular Surgery, Dr. Whitney was a member of Georgia Vascular Clinic. He is a pioneer in adopting stenting and other endovascular treatments and is extensively experienced in serving patients with minimally invasive vascular surgery and endovascular therapy procedures. In 1997, Dr. Whitney was the first physician to perform carotid stenting at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and later was among the first to perform an aortic stent graft repair in the Southeast. 

Dr. Whitney serves all forms of vascular treatment for his patients, including medical management, stenting and surgery. He tailors medical management and interventional techniques based on each patient’s specific needs.

Dr. Kimberly Champney, Dr. Lee Padove and Northside Hospital Cardiovascular Care in Sandy Springs are pleased to welcome Mary Bergh, M.D. to the full-service cardiology practice.  

Dr. Bergh has more than two decades of experience serving patients in the Greater Atlanta area. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular computed tomography and internal medicine, and she has particular expertise in cardiac catheterization, echocardiography and nuclear imaging. 

“I want my patients to be active participants in their care,” said Dr. Bergh, who says she works alongside primary care and referring physicians to make sure each patient receives complete and high-quality medical care. “We’re a team and we have to work together to achieve the best results for our patients.” 

Dr. Bergh received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of South Florida and completed her internal medicine residency, followed by a cardiology fellowship, both at the University of South Carolina. She has special interests in women’s health and cardiovascular care, and is a member of The American Heart Association – Go Red Initiative, promoting cardiovascular screening and focused care for women. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, traveling and playing the piano.
