Naomi Johnson and Darell Singleterry, Jr. (DJ) were married on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at the Jaxson in New Orleans. Their paths first crossed four years ago in the magical city of New Orleans where they attended the same business school conference.
After graduating from Westminster, Naomi earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her MBA from Emory’s Goizueta Business School.
DJ grew up in Delaware and earned his bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and his MBA, with honors, from Emory’s Goizueta Business School.
During the outdoor ceremony and fairy-tale wedding, the bride was attended by Monet Johnson, her sister and Maid of Honor, in addition to eight bridesmaids. The groom was served by best man, and best friend, KJ Blackwell.
In typical New Orleans tradition, Mr. and Mrs. Singleterry, along with guests, culminated a festive and unforgettable reception with a Second Line Brass Band stroll through the streets of New Orleans, as white handkerchiefs waved.
The newlyweds enjoyed a relaxing three-week honeymoon in the Maldives and Thailand. Naomi previously worked for Teach for America, General Mills and is now a Business consultant for Chick-fil-A Corporate. DJ previously worked for Dell and is currently a consultant with Accenture. The couple has made Atlanta their home.
