Beryl and Mike Morrisey

Beryl and Mike Morrisey celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this week.

Mike and Beryl Morrisey will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 6.

They were married in 1964 in Marblehead, Mass. and moved to Dunwoody in 1978, where they raised their two daughters, Jill Morrisey and Bonnie (Morrisey) Bryson.

Jill and Bonnie (along with Bonnie’s husband, Chris, and two children, Will, 13, and Caroline, 11) also live in Dunwoody.

Mike and Beryl remain very active in the Dunwoody community with Mike serving as the president of the Friends of the Dunwoody Library and as a volunteer member of the AARP tax preparers.

Beryl continues to enjoy her part time job at the Blooms of Dunwoody florist.

Their grandchildren, Will and Caroline, are their greatest joy and Mike and Beryl are most often found sitting in the bleachers watching Will and Caroline play baseball or lacrosse.
